Word Stress

What is a “Syllable?

A syllable is a SINGLE SOUND in a word with one vowel sound.
Unlike the Japanese language, English syllables may sometimes be surrounded by consonants. Also “n” cannot be counted as one syllable.

A syllable always has vowels.
